How we price Relay

We used to sell Relay as one flat plan at $79 a month for unlimited people. It was a clean story, and we were proud of it. But it didn't survive contact with reality. A flat rate sounds fair until you watch who actually pays it. A five-person office and a fifty-person company were paying the same, which meant the smallest teams—the ones we most wanted to help—were quietly subsidizing the largest. The price that felt generous to a big team felt steep to a tiny one. So we changed it. Today Relay has three plans: - **Starter** — $39/month plus $4 per employee. For small offices just getting organized. - **Business** — $79/month plus $6 per employee. Our most popular plan, with priority support. - **Pro** — $149/month plus $8 per employee. Advanced admin and analytics, with dedicated support. Each plan has a base price plus a small per-person fee, so what you pay tracks the size of your team. A team of six pays close to what a team of six should; a team of forty pays more because they're getting more out of it. You can pay monthly, or annually for roughly two months free. We still believe in the things that made the old page feel honest. There's no "Enterprise: contact us" wall designed to hide the real number—every price is on the page. We don't push you toward a tier you don't need, and moving between plans takes a couple of clicks in settings, not a sales call. What changed is that we stopped pretending one number could be fair to everyone at once. Pricing that scales gently with your team isn't a tier maze. It's just charging small teams like small teams.
